Jamie Cullum, Snarky Puppy and Gladys Knight are the first performers announced for the 2019 event at Glynde Place, East Sussex

The Love Supreme Jazz Festival will return to Glynde Place in East Sussex from 5-7 July 2019, once again featuring an extensive line-up from the worlds of jazz, soul and more.

Over 45,000 fans attended the 2018 event across the weekend and the festival has now announced the first wave of artists to perform at next year’s event: Jamie Cullum, soul singer Gladys Knight (pictured right) and jazz and funk collective Snarky Puppy will all be joining the line-up.

Since its inception in 2013, Love Supreme has played host to the likes of Herbie Hancock, Earth Wind & Fire, George Benson, Nile Rodgers, Grace Jones, Hugh Masekela, George Clinton, Pharoah Sanders, Gregory Porter, Lianne La Havas, Bryan Ferry, Esperanza Spalding, Chaka Khan, Branford Marsalis and Robert Glasper amongst many others.

Love Supreme founder Ciro Romano said: "Looking out from the main stage at the huge crowd enjoying every minute of Earth Wind & Fire’s closing night set this summer was an incredible moment. The whole weekend was full of similar moments and the festival delivered on so many levels this year. Confirming Jamie Cullum, Gladys Knight and Snarky Puppy for next summer is a fantastic start and a big step towards our aim of delivering an even better event for 2019".

Love Supreme 2019 will run from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 July. Early bird tickets go on sale from Thursday 22 November at the Love Supreme festival website.
